Robert John Zoller III, 56, of Elgin died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at his home. Born in Chicago on September 28, 1951, he was the son of Robert and Charlotte (McElroy) Zoller.

He worked at Elgin Mental Health Center for over 33 years, having retired as Chief Engineer. Robert went on to work at Highlands Golf Course in his retirement. He was an avid golfer, a founder of his golf league, played softball in his younger days, and was a fan of all sports. He was also known as Bob, Bobby, Bob-Z. and Fuzzy to many. Robert will be remembered for being a wonderful friend and a loving father and husband.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Robert John Zoller, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pamela Zoller; two daughters, Amanda Lin Louie and Krystal Kay Zoller; mother, Charlotte McElroy-Dailey; and four siblings, Daniel (Pat) Zoller, Gary Zoller, Kathy (Craig) Stapley, and David Zoller.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at the O’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin, Pastor Olin Sletto, of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be private. For more information call us at 847-741-1400.
