Thomas (Tom) Vincent Lawler, age 75, of Algonquin, IL passed away on April 8, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born on May 14, 1949, in Baltimore, MD to John Barry Lawler and Catherine (Snowden) Lawler.  Tom earned his Business degree at the University of Dayton, Dayton, OH in 1971. He worked in the food packaging industry for 50 years as a Sales Account Manager, both nationally and internationally. Since retiring, he has enjoyed working a few days a week at Wickstrom Ford and pursuing his passion for golf. Tom was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching golf, college football and basketball as well as the NFL.

Although Tom lived in many areas of the country including Wisconsin, Illinois and North Carolina, he remained a loyal fan of the University of Dayton, UW Badgers and Green Bay Packers. Tom also developed a love of equestrian sports through the passion of his youngest daughter, Maggie.  Tom married Kristine (Mann) Lawler in 1993. Over the course of their marriage, they enjoyed traveling around Europe as well as the US. Tom enjoyed spending time with family and friends, a good martini and fine bourbon.

Tom was a US Army veteran, serving 23 years, first as an infantry officer and later in the Army Reserve as a medical service corp officer, retiring as a Major in 2009. His service included serving during Operation Desert Storm stationed in Landstuhl, Germany.

Tom was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Kathleen, and brothers, Barry and Michael.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Kristine. His loving children Maggie Lawler, Sean (Jona) Lawler, Theresa (Jeff) Miller and Rebecca (Erik) Marin. Grandchildren Lena, Ailsa, Kendrick, Dakota and Abby. Brother-in-law, Michael Mann, nieces Alexandria Mann, Morgan Mann, Kathryn (Phillip) North and nephew Aaron (Amanda) Nadler.

There will be private ceremony for family at First Congregational Church of Dundee for interment of Tom’s ashes.

A celebration of life will be held at the residence May 3, 2025 from 4-7pm
