With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Juan Sanchez, a beloved father, husband, brother, and friend who left this world peacefully on 01/11/25.Juan was born on November 24, 1939, in Leon, Guanajuato but immigrated to the United States where he spent his life dedicated to learning many trades in an effort to give his family a better life. He leaves a legacy of strong family unity and values. He will be remembered for his generosity, humor, wisdom and his love of horse racing. Juan cherished his family and friends, who were always at the center of his life.
He is survived by wife, Sara Sanchez, children Gloria, Gustavo, Silvia, Fernando, Angelica, Carmen, Maria and Arturo.
Though he is no longer with us in body, Juan’s spirit and love will continue to shine in the lives he touched. Rest in peace, dear Juan, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Con profundo pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Juan Sánchez, un querido padre, esposo, hermano y amigo, quien partió de este mundo en paz el 11 de enero de 2025. Juan nació el 24 de noviembre de 1939 en León, Guanajuato, pero emigró a los Estados Unidos, donde dedicó su vida a aprender muchos oficios con el objetivo de ofrecerle a su familia una vida mejor. Deja un legado de fuerte unidad familiar y valores. Será recordado por su generosidad, humor, sabiduría y su amor por las carreras de caballos. Juan apreciaba profundamente a su familia y amigos, quienes siempre fueron el centro de su vida.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 17th at the O'Connor - Leetz Funeral Home, 364 Division Street, Elgin, from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 12:00 noon at St. Monica's Catholic Church, Carpentersville, with Fr.
