Willie Earl Towner was born in Merigold, MS. on February 27, 1946. He was born to the union of Ollie Towner and Eliza Swayser.
His father, mother, brothers Arthur Lee and John Henry and infant son Willie Jr. preceded him in death.
Willie accepted Christ at an early age in Memphis, TN. He currently belonged to a church located in Rockford, IL.
Willie graduated from William Holick High School where he was an outstanding track star.
Willie served in the military receiving an honorable discharge.
He worked in Texas building swimming pools, worked for the Coca-Cola Comapny and many more places of employment until he was no longer able to work.
Willie made his transition into eternity on Saturday, July 30, 2011.
He is survived by his daughters Sharon and Ericka, sons Willie Jr II and William (Tawana), sister Pearlene (Sam) in Bellwood, IL, sisters Mable, Mattie, Magnolia, and Ollie Mae, brothers Johnny and Joe in Racine, WI., sister Hazel in Madison, WI., sister Mary in Memphis, TN., and sister Emma in Kenosha, WI., several grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation 10:00 am, followed by services at 11:30 am Friday, August 12, 2011 at the funeral home.
