Vernon Sveinson, 76 of South Elgin died Friday, June 27th. Born January 5, 1938 in Chicago, he was the son of Haldor and Zelma (Rowe) Sveinson.
He was an expert carpenter and a superintendent in the Carpenter’s Local Union for many years, and was a proud member of the Elgin Riverside Club for over 50 years. Vernon was an avid sports enthusiast. He was also a devoted and generous Uncle.
Vernon is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Eunice Kuhn, 2009.
He is survived by one daughter, Kathy of Colorado; one grandson, Shawn; one sister Arline Huffstutler of So. Elgin; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

to any relatives and friends of vernon sveinson you have my sympathy. i graduated from elgin high school, elgin, il. in 1954 in the same class with vernon. i remember him well. my family and his family were friends.
