Mrs. Robbie Ann Martin-Talley residence of Elgin, IL, by way of Tiptonville TN passed away on
November 8th, 2022. Alongside family and friends at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence.
Robbie Ann was born on 12/22/1939, to the late Robert Walker and Narsis. She attended Lincoln
High School in Tiptonville TN, and was later united in matrimony to the late Tony Martin. To this
Union two sons were born Jerry Martin, and Tommy Martin. With time she then was united in
matrimony with the late Willy Talley.
Robbie Ann ( BigMa) as we all know was sincere, charismatic and selfless. She was the one to care for
and be there for her family unconditionally. While carrying the burden for many on her shoulders,
never forgetting to carry her beautiful smile. She walked this Beautiful earth for 82 years and made
every moment count. Throughout her life Robbie Ann played a significant role in her community as a
news courier manager for a local Elgin newspaper company. She not only protected but educated
youth on safety, responsibility and discipline. She then became a crossing guard, as she loved to
ensure the safety of her community.
As you can see Robbie Ann was a part of something greater than herself. She connected with
people, guided them to reach their goals, all while providing security and safety for those around
her. One of her most rewarding responsibilities was being a foster parent. Through fostering she
was able to give so much hope and love to those in need outside of her own family. Being able to
provide stability and support to children, emotionally fulfilled Robbie Ann. Family is made strong
through a number of factors, and Robbie Ann was the biggest one. She loved bringing her family
together. She reciprocated this through her food, hosting plenty of BBQβs and family gatherings.
Whether itβs holidays or events, Robbie Ann surrounded herself with family; as she loved to cook. As
many may know Robbie was known for her famous cornbread and so much more.
She is survived by two sons, Christopher Blake and Jeremy Martin, grandson Tommy Martin Jr and
great grandson Braxton Jean Martin who all reside in Elgin, IL. With many nieces, nephews, cousins
and friends. She was proceeded in death by two sisters Elizabeth Ann Walker from Tiptonville Tn,
and Johnnie Mae Anderson-Littleton from Chicago by way of TiptonVille Tn, as well.
As we mourn the loss of Robbie Ann Martin-Talley, remember as she may lay to rest her memories
will always live on with us. We thank her for her sacrifices, care and concern. The love she gave to
this world will be left untouched, forever grateful.
