Opher D. Campbell, 70 of Elgin died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Sherman Hospital. The daughter of Henry and Olivia (Hudson) Campbell, she was born April 16, 1944 in Parkin, Arkansas.
She was a member of Grace Community Ministries, and a past member of Bethesda COGIC, Elgin. She loved her family, and was considered by all to the family chef.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, and two sisters.
Opher is survived by one son Mickey (Danielle) Thomas of Elgin; one daughter Chasity Thomas, South Carolina; three grandchildren; two sisters, a very special friend James Dorsey, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethesda Church of God in Christ 454 Hickory Pl. Elgin, IL 60120 with Pastor James Marks, and Pastor William Emmanuel, officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.
