Nicolas  “Nico” E. Quezada Sr. 56 of Elgin, Il passed away unexpectedly on Saturday December 14, 2013 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin, Il.

He was born May 28th, 1957 in Evanston, Illinois to Armando and Epifania Quezada. he was predeceased by his father Armando Quezada Sr., an infant sister Maria Veronica Quezada, his maternal grandparents Nicolas and Doniecia Estrada and paternal grandparents Francisco and Celia Quezada and a brother in law, Patrick Davidson Sr.

Nicolas was a devoted father, beloved husband and loving son. He was employed by Plote Construction and was a member of the Laborers Health and Welfare Unions for over 38 years. He loved his family and friends very much and was always there to lend a hand when needed. He was a caring and generous man.

He is survived by  his mother, wife Isabel Quezada of 9 years, sons and daughters Nicolas (Jeanette) Quezada, Veronica (Ramiro) Avendano, Rickie Lee Quezada, Tina (Cooper) Quezada, two step sons, David Cardona and Hector Cardona and one step daughter Ivette Walls. Grandchildren, Octavius. Cescelia, Alexander, Chasya, Julian, Talyiah, Darien, Julius, Chloe, Roman and Jerico. Godson’s Andrew Quezada and Patrick Davidson Jr.

Five brothers, Armando (Julia) Quezada Jr., Oscar (Wendy) Quezada, Francisco Quezada, Reymund (Terry) Quezada, Manny (Tomasa) Quezada, 4 sisters Maria (Frank) Schumacher, Janie Davidson, Maria (Charles) Clifton and Anna (Tommy) Quezada.

Many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, extended family members and an abundance of friends and co-workers.

Awake will be on Tuesday December 17, 2013 at O’Connor-Leetz 4-8 pm and Wednesday December 18, 2013 from 10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 272 Division Street, Elgin, IL 60120

Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery following the memorial service.
