Lillie Frizell was born to the late Jimmie Williams and Octavia Williams on May 5, 1928 in Durant, Mississippi. She departed this life on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 in South Elgin, Illinois. She was brought up in the church and received Christ at an early age. She graduated high school in Mississippi. Lilllie worked in the restaurant industry for several years before gaining employment from the Spiegel Catalog Company where she retired after many years of service. Lillie and Frank met as teenagers in Durant, Mississippi. They were married on September 12, 1949. Then moved to Chicago, Illinois where they built their home and raised their four children: Dorothy, Frank Jr, Larry, and Kenneth. They were happily married for seventy years. She enjoyed going to church, working in her flower and vegetable gardens, and listening to gospel music. She loved cooking and took pleasure in always feeding people. Lillie was an eloquent speaker and a member and mother of Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, IL. Lillie was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years, Frank Frizell, Louise Street (sister), Beatrice Frizell (sister), Jimmie Williams, Jr. (brother), Ruth Nichols (sister), and her three sons: Frank Frizell Jr., Larry Frizell, and Kenneth Frizell. Lillie leaves to celebrate her life: Her sister, Mae Frances Jordan (Durant, MS) her daughter, Dorothy Jackson (Elgin, IL), nine grandchildren: Roy (Anthony), Malona, Octavia (Lynn), Yconda (EC), Monwell, Frank Frizell III, Detric, Bernard, and Kenneth Jr., a host of great grandchildren, and a loving family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and very special family friends. Visitation will be held at O'Connor-Leetz Funeral Home in Elgin on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 9:00 until time of service at 11:00. Service will be officiated by Pastor Jeffrey Robinson. Interment will be private.
