June Huske 95, of Elgin died February 14, 2017 at Heritage Manor, Elgin. Born May 30, 1921 in Burlington, IL she was the daughter of Samuel and Lorenna (Davis) Blank.
She was an avid painter and loved painting saws, milk cans and outdoor scenes using Thomas Kinkade styling. June loved sewing and was an expert seamstress. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and lifetime member of Elgin’s First Presbyterian Church.
She is preceded in death by her first husband John Sabo; second husband Arnold Huske; four brothers, four sisters; one grandson, John Randolph Sabo.
She is survived by three sons John L. (Beverly) Sabo of Elgin, Terrance G. (Susan) Sabo of West Dundee, Richard A. (Sara) Sabo of Elgin; two step-sons; Chuck (Lorrie) Huske, Ken (Pam) Huske, three grandchildren; Renee, John, and Mary; four step-grandchildren; Todd (Laura) Huske, Michelle Huske, Dene Huske, Cris (Steve) Roberts; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Justin; one sister, Margie Thomas of Goreville, IL. and nieces Roselyn, Donna, Ruthanne, and great niece Vicky.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at the O’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home, 364 Division St., Elgin from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon with Rev. Karen Schlack, First Presbyterian Church, Elgin officiating. Burial will follow at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.
