Janet Ann Cyzan, 87, of St. Charles passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 at Geneva Nursing and Rehabilitation, Geneva, IL.

 

Janet was born July 7, 1926 in Marathon, WI to the late Hugo and Selma (Pyan) Buchberger. She married Robert J. Cyzan on August 9, 1947 who preceded her in death on May 22, 1975.

 

After raising a family, Janet entered the work force and was employed by Clark Leather for many years until they moved out of state and was then hired by Beckley-Cardy where she worked until she retired at the age of 71.

 

In her youth, Janet had a love of the outdoors and spent much time swimming and exploring the woods of Northern Wisconsin. Janet’s hobbies included playing musical instruments (piano and guitar) and crocheting many different items which she usually donated or gave as gifts to family and friends.

 

Janet is survived by her children, Dianne L. (Paul) Trautt, Cathleen Ruiz, Michael H. Cyzan all of St. Charles, IL, Robert J. (Elizabeth) Cyzan of Phoenix, AZ, sister Judith Brennan of Wausau, WI, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by brothers, Arvin Buchberger, Wallace Buchberger and sister Joyce Hemmrich.

 

A memorial service/funeral mass will be held on May 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Charles, IL. Internment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin, IL.
