James A. Perfors, 78 of Elgin, died Thursday, April 14, 2016. The son of Frank and Ellen Perfors he was born August 3, 1937 in Butler, PA.
He was an ardent worker and continued working machine maintenance for the U.S. Postal Service. Jim also enjoyed woodworking and loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marilyn in 2000; 1 sister and 5 brothers.
He is survived by 3 children; James, MariLynn Pippins, David (Mary) all of Elgin; 9 grand kids; 15 great-grand kids; 1 great great-grand kid; 1 sister, Irene Perfors of PA. Many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon at the O’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin with Pastor Jeffrey Mykiska, from Holy Trinity Lutheran church, Elgin officiating. Burial will follow at the Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery.
