Ida Maudette Blanchard-Burnett, was born November 11, 1939. Ida transitioned to be with the Lord on September 17, 2023, surrounded by family at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois. Ida was the 4th of nine children, born to the union of Javous and Marlena Blanchard who preceded her in death. She graduated from Prentiss High School in May of 1959. Ida retired from Knowles Electronics after 28 years of Service in Elgin, Illinois.   Ida was united in holy matrimony to Rennell Davis. From that union they had a daughter Geisha Davis. She was Re-Married to Eddie Burnett on June 20, 1975. From that union they had a son Ray Burnett and a Daughter Sonia Hendricks. Ida was First Lady of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church of Elgin Illinois in 1985-2001 where Eddie Burnett was Pastor before his passing in 2001. Ida then became a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Elgin Illinois, under the leadership now of Pastor Barry Jones. Before Pastor Edward Grissette passing in 2006. Ida served under his leadership which was Ida’s Brother-in-law. Ida served as Mother, Missionary and Usher, until her illness. Ida was preceded in death by her Devoted Husband Pastor Eddie Burnett, also preceded her in death three Sister: Jerlene Bridges, Ella Haynes, and Sylvia Tatum along with her Seven Brothers in- laws: Rev. Arthur Ray Bridges, Rev. Edward Grissette, Ulysses Haynes, John Bogan, Earvin Martin, Willie Barnes, and Earl Tatum. Ida leaves to cherish her memory a Daughter: Geisha Davis, a Son: Ray Burnett, Daughter in-Law: Marie Burnett, a Special Son: Kevin (Yolanda) Ratliff and Walter (Sylvia) Willis, Two Special Daughters: India (Lee) Holloway and Kimberly Grigsby, a Granddaughter: LaMaiya Williams, Two Special Granddaughters: Naomi Grigsby and Lisa Lewis, Seven Grandsons: Jeffrey Lewis Jr., D’Arius Lewis, Taejour Burnett, Marqus Payton, Trevor Burnett, D’Manuel Payton and Kavon Burnett, Special Grandson: Sidney Holloway, Three Great Grandchildren: Kiara Ehredt, Malia Lewis, and Jaime Zarate, along with Ida’s God Children Jasmine Cook and Kimberly Shaw. Memories of Ida will also be cherished by her siblings: Clarissa Grissette, Rosemary Bogan, Carolyn Martin, and Erma Barnes and Javous Blanchard Jr. and Sister in- law Charlesetta Blanchard. A host of Brothers, Sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins in the Blanchard, Davis, Burnett, and Whaley family. Along with a host of Spiritual family and friends.
