Hubert Schlosser, 78 of Crystal Lake, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at Centegra Hospital Huntley. The son of Karl and Maria (Pollack) Schlosser he was born November 15, 1938 in Heidelburg, Germany.
Hubert loved to fish and camp. He was hardworking and enjoyed helping family and friends with construction projects and he owned and operated Schlosser Construction. Hubert loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Elfriede in 1991; several sisters and brothers.
Hubert is survived by his wife Elisa of 24 years; one son Frank (Andrea) Schlosser of Huntley; three daughters, Jeanette (Daniel) Anderson of Hanover Park, Heidi (Jeff dec’d) Wilson of Rockford, and Monica (George) Tsiodras of Roselle; two step-children, Rosendo Carreno, Victor Valencia both of Crystal Lake; ten grand-children, Frankie, Angel, Brittany, Brendon, Josh, Jeremy, Jazmin, Zachary, Nicole, and Matthew; several brothers and sisters in Germany. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 1st from 4 – 8 p.m. at the O’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin. Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, December 2nd at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 West Terra Cotta Avenue, Crystal Lake at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Jerome Koutnik, officiating.
