Enola P. (Lee) Crouse, 92, of Elgin, died Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Born September 3, 1915, she was the daughter of Gertrude and Louis Ehlert.

She operated Lee’s Beauty Shop from her home for many years. Enola was an active member of Women of The Moose #610 of Elgin and a member of the College of Regents. She worked serving on Friday Fish Fry for many years prior to her physical impairment. She was also an active member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Elgin, belonging to the St. Paul’s Auxiliary Circle.

Enola is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight D. Crouse; sister, Dorothy Daum; and brother Clifford Ehlert.

She is survived by her dear and loyal friend, Wesley (Jack) Schulz; niece, Betty Roberts, Lockhart, TX; and 2 step-grandchildren, Gary and Charles Crouse.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2008 from 9 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM at the O’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin, The Rev. David Ezekiel of St. Paul United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.
