Emilia Villanueva, 76 of Elgin died January 3rd at Heritage Health, Elgin. The daughter of Jose and Vicenta (Villanueva) Corchado, she was born May 30, 1941 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
She was a proud member of Casa de Oracion for over 43 years and a humble and faithful servant of the Lord; she loved her family especially her grandchildren. Everyone who knew her loved her. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible and enjoyed sewing and going for walks.
She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Jose B. of 27 years until his death in 1999. One son, Jose A. in 2004, one daughter, Maria E. Rincon in 2012; one brother and sister.
She is survived by one son Eriberto of Elgin and one daughter, Elisabet (Bartolome) Garcia of Carpentersville; four grandchildren, Keira, Daniel, Angel, Max all at home; one brother, Tito Corchado of Puerto Rico and one sister, Leonor Cuevas of Cleveland, OH. Three step-children, Mildred Villanueva, Jose A. Villanueva, and Oscar Villanueva. Many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, January 8 from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:30 with Reverend Jorge Romero, Casa de Oracion, officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee, IL.
