As a young girl, Decynthia grew up in Elgin and attended Larkin High School. She was affectionately known as Cynthia by her family and friends and grew up to be a homemaker and hairdresser.
Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Tyri Clements of Palatine; father, Charles (Shirley) Clements of Elgin; three sisters: Tonya Sneed, Emmetia Sneed, both of Aurora and Sharese Sneed of Rochelle, IL: four brothers; Chevelle (Holly) Clements of Elgin, IL, Charles (Jessica) Clements, Jr. of Arizona, Nehemiah (Nicole) Clements of South Milwaukee, WI, and Patrick Clements of Rockford, IL, grandparents, Ann Marie and John Davis, and a host of nephews and nieces.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Clements: uncle, James, Clements: great uncles, Mitchell, David, and Anthony Dorsey, and Grandmother, Ernestine Clements.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 24 at 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at Bethesda Church of God in Christ, 545 Hickory Place, Elgin. Burial to follow at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin with Pastor Carl Clement officiating.
