Cottrell Stewart, Jr. of Elgin, died Monday, June 29, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. The son of Cottrell, Sr. and Bessie (Rice) Stewart, he was born July 2, 1944 in Prairie Point, MS.
He will be missed by his loving wife and son. He enjoyed cooking, and was a great debater. Cottrell was a proud member of Bethesda Church of God in Christ.
Cottrell is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Jimmie Stewart.
He is survived by his loving wife Antoinette of 24 years; one son Corey of Elgin; one step-daughter, Candice (Jesse) McDougle of Elgin; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Bobbie Jackson of Elgin, Minnie Wilson of Elgin. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 6th at Bethesda Church of God in Christ, 454 Hickory Place, Elgin from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 with Pastor Elder James Marks, officiating.
