Charlotte Wolfe, 97 of Elgin, died July 2, 2008 at Heritage Manor, Elgin. Born September 7, 1910 in Eden, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of Harold and Eda Mae (Rogers) Ellis.

She was a tough and dominant individual, but a kind, sweet, gentle, and loving mother. She was a member and volunteer of the Jewish Mission of Syracuse, NY.

Charlotte was preceded in death by two daughters, Helen Lynch, and Josephine Swanson; 11 siblings.

She is survived by one son, James (Donna) Swanson of Romulus, NY. (and their eight children), one daughter, Susan Visser of Elgin; grandsons, David Wicks, Randall Francisco, Richard Francisco, Robert Arnold, and Rodney Francis; one granddaughter, Renee Reynoso.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 7, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at theO’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin, with Pastor William Legge, officiating.

Burial will follow at Bluff City Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Charlotte’s memory to the family.
