Cecelia M. (Carroll) Grote, 87 of Edenton, NC, died Saturday, September 28th. Know to her friends as Ce Ce she was born August 10, 1926 in Manchester, England she was the daughter of James and Anne (Ingham) Morton.
Cecelia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John T. Carroll; one son Gary John.
She is survived by her husband Arthur Grote; 8 children, Gary (Charlene) Carroll, Raymond (Denise) Carroll, Deborah Klug, Pamela (Jay) Sanchez, Terrance (Debbie) Carroll, Susan Carroll-Vera, Anne and Sean Carroll; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great, great-grandchild; 3 sisters, Edith, Elsie, and Mavis.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 4th visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m., at the O’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Frank Szewczyk of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Union, officiating. For more information please call (847) 741-1400.
