Beverly A. Zea, 80, of Carpentersville, formerly of Chicago, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2007. Born January 25, 1927 in Waterloo, Iowa, she was married to Lawrence (Larry) Zea on April 8, 1946 at Camp Lee, VA. She was the daughter of Robert and Esther (Anderson) Patrick.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to work in church as a Sunday School Teacher. Beverly worked in the Women’s Missionary Union and always tried to lead her family to follow the Lord. She also loved to travel, make artificial flower arrangements and write poetry. She was loved by all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marjorie, and grandson, Jerry Nevil.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Larry, 6 children, Gloria (Joe) Nevil, Timothy Zea, Lon (Dorothy) Zea, Terri (Don) De Fily, Steven (Valerie) Zea, and Peggy Zea; 13 grandchildren, Joe II, Jason Nevil, Jennifer Minch, Jim, Lawrence, Eric and Jennifer Zea, Kyle, Kilian and Kendall De Fily, Randy, Ryan, Katie and Kelly Zea; 12 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Justin, Jordan, Kaylee, Kennedy and Keaton Nevil, Jessica and Gavin Minch, Destinee, Andrew and Grace Zea, and Jessica Billit.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the O’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin with The Rev. Phil Zilinski officiating. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 14 at O’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home. Burial will be at Windridge Cemetery, Cary, Illinois. For more information, call (847) 741-1400.
