Kolody2Alodia A. (Pawlak) Kolody, 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 20, 1929 to Lottie and Francis Pawlak.

Alodia was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, longtime caregiver, and friend who will be sorely missed. Alodia was warm, kind, a good-hearted mother and caregiver and was devoted to her Catholic faith. She retired at the age of 80 from Bearing Headquarters, after working there 45 years.

Alodia is preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. and her son, Richard T.

She is survived by her children; Deborah (Daniel) Javorka, Ronald, Robert (Cheryl), and Timothy; grandchildren Jaime (Patrick) Boyer, Michelle (Jon) Hurley, Danielle (Kevin) Scucchi, and Cory (Eva)  Kolody; great-grandchildren Daniel, Scott & Joshua Boyer, Cyris Kolody, Adrian and Autumn Palmer, Charles & Paisley Hurley, and Savanna Scucchi; and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be Sunday, December 9 at O’Connor-Leetz Funeral Home, 364 Division Street, Elgin.  Funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 8000 South Linder Avenue, Burbank, IL.
