Evelyn Ackmann, 71 died on March 16,2018 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin after a 3 year struggle with cancer.
Evelyn was born on September 23,1946 in Aurora , Illinois to her parents Clinton and Grace Fry who proceeded her in death.
Survivors includes her husband of 49 years, James F. Ackmann of Elgin. She is survived by her two sisters, Janet (Roger) Kilty of Naperville and Sally (Thomas) Horn of Boalsburg, PA. She is survived by her sister-in -law. Mary (Glenn) Traub of Pearland, Texas. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Evelyn graduated from Naperville Community High School in 1964. She graduated from North Central College in 1968. Evelyn had a long career in the banking industry. She retired from J P Morgan Chase after over 30 years of employment with them.
Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.on March 21 at O’Connor-Leetz Funeral Home, 364 Division Street, Elgin. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on March 21 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bluff City Cemetery in Elgin immediately following the service.
