Glenys A. Martiny, 63, of DeKalb died Sunday, May 3, 2009 in Schaumburg. Born on August 22, 1945, she was the daughter of James and Annie (Worthington) Aspen.
She was very involved in activities at the Church of the Incarnation in Bloomingdale, IL. A loving stay-at-home mom, she will be remembered for her laughter, energy and giving spirit.
Glenys is preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Aspen and Billy Aspen; and sister, Clara Aspen.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, John Martiny; two daughters, Josette Martiny and Jackie (Evan) Williams; granddaughter, Anelyse Williams; and sister, Elaine Smith.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at O’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home, Elgin. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Pastor Olin Sletto, officiating. Burial will be private.
