			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">Lucille Iona (Garrett)<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Barton, age 93, arrived at her eternal home early Monday 30 Apr 2012.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>She was born on 13 April 1919 to Nellie (White) and Albert Garrett in LaPrairie, Adams County, IL, where she lived her entire childhood. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Her interest in genealogy helped many family members locate, gather and share information and photos of the ancestors during the past few years.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">Her military life included training as a Flight Tracer and later as an Army surgical nurse at Camp Upton, 2<sup>nd</sup> Service Command, Long Island NY during WWII.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>She was a member of the American Legion.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>After marriage, she resided in Elgin the remainder of her life.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">Lucille and Henry Barton were married in a military chapel at Camp Upton NY on 8 August 1945.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>They spent 65 years together before his death in April 2010.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>She was a creative homemaker and loving mother of three daughters:<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Beverly (Wm) Spors of Sparta WI, Brenda (Clarence) Hayward and<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Bonnie (Jack) Roder , both of Elgin IL.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">Grandma Lucy truly enjoyed every moment shared with her precious <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> grandchildren; </span>Barb and Todd Spors of Sparta WI, Melanie (Craig) Piotrowski of Sparta WI, Jennifer (Mike) Jurkovic<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>of Schaumburg IL, Jason Hayward of Elgin, Sean Roder and Matt Roder (fiancée Meghan Hardy) of Elgin. She loved sharing many stories of her childhood, reading books and playing games with them.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>She would always have their favorite baked treats when they visited.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">Great Grandma Lucy was also very special to her six great grandchildren:<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Hunter and Ryley Steinhoff of Sparta WI, Nina and Nate Roder of Elgin, and the newest members of the family, Wyatt Piotrowski of Sparta WI and Ella Grace Jurkovic of Schaumburg .</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">She will also be greatly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">Lucille was prec</span><a name="_GoBack"></a><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;">eded in death by her parents, grandson Sean Roder and husband Henry.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Funeral services will be at noon on Sat 5 May 2012 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Elgin IL where she was a longtime member.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the time of service.  Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin.</span></span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Russell Warren Weingartner, 91, of Elgin, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital following emergency surgery.  He was born on January 27, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey, the son of John and Adeline Weingartner.</p>
<p>He had been a resident of Elgin for more than 28 years.  In 1944 he graduated from Clemson University in South Carolina.  In March 1944 Mr. Weingartner entered the United States Army Air  Corps and attended officer candidate school.  Upon completion of OCS, he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant and served in the South Pacific in the Army Air Corps during World War II, until his discharge in October 1946 as a 1st Lieutenant.</p>
<p>On September 23, 1946 he married Mono F. Marshall of Boyne City, Michigan.  Mr. Weingartner will be greatly missed by his family.  Surviving are his daughters, Ruth (Louis) Davis of Lafayette, LA and Janice (Jonathan) Carbary of Elgin; five grandchildren, Adam Davis of Lafayette, LA, Nicole (Michael) Szczepanek of Chicago, IL, Molli (Aaron) Davis of Lafayette, LA, Dana (David) Burner of Elgin, J.R. Carbary of Minnetonka, MN, and one great granddaughter, Addison Burner of Elgin.</p>
<p>He was a member of the Elgin Golden Kiwanis and volunteered at Sherman Hospital for many years following his retirement from the Honeywell Corporation after 40 years.</p>
<p>He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mono. </p>
<p>No services will be held.  Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.</p>
